We are commonly using ABB & SCHNEIDER.

 Remote Terminal Unit (RTU): RTUs are electronic devices that collect data from various sensors and devices in the substation. They can monitor parameters such as voltage,
current, power factor, and relay status. RTUs communicate with the central control system and enable remote monitoring and control of the substation.
 Intelligent Electronic Device (IED): IEDs are microprocessor-based devices used for protection, control, and monitoring functions in substations. They perform tasks such as fault detection, isolation, and system restoration. IEDs can communicate with RTUs and other devices using protocols such as IEC 61850.
 Protection Relays: Protection relays are essential for detecting abnormal conditions in the power system and initiating appropriate actions to protect the equipment and ensure system stability. They monitor parameters like current, voltage, frequency, and phase angle and trip circuit breakers or other devices when necessary.
 Communication Equipment: Substation automation relies on robust communication systems to exchange data between devices. Communication equipment such as switches, routers,
and communication protocols like IEC 61850, DNP3, and Modbus are used to establish reliable connections between the substation devices and the central control system.
 SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) System: SCADA systems are used for centralized monitoring and control of the substation. They collect data from various devices, display it on operator workstations, and provide control functionality for remote operation and automation.

["post-84","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry
["GET
